The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a New York State Medicaid program that allows consumers to direct their own home care. Instead of a traditional home care agency sending an aide you don't know, you can hire a family member, friend, or trusted neighbor to provide your care, and they get paid by Medicaid.
