Dear Mr. Newman:
I’m writing to you today to say thank you for all the things you and your organization is doing to help others. My parents, who are elderly and in need of disposable diapers were recently recipients of your kindness. Although I am just learning about your organization, I was overwhelmed when a kind lady witnessed me purchasing the diapers and offered me several more packs for free that she says came from you! It is not often that I see or hear of people who really care and that is why receiving the diapers for my parents touched my heart so. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your act of kindness towards me and others! This experience will serve as a reminder of how humanity is supposed to be. Thanks again for all you do.
A witness of your Good Deeds,
Dear Mr. Robert Newman,
I would just like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for all the help that you and your LiFEC organization have provided for my family. We are going through a very difficult financial time right now, and you have been very supportive and generous to us. You offered my family help with clothing, jackets, toys for our kids, food, as well as making several calls on our behalf to help us with funds so I can pay my union dues to try to get back to work. We are a family of six, so I know it’s a lot. You have treated us with nothing but kindness and respect. You did not judge us or look down on us, where a lot of people tend to do. You made us feel comfortable with your kind and positive words of encouragement-that we need to keep our heads up and that things will get better and your there to help us in any way possible. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate that. I know there are a lot of families out there that are struggling just like us and we feel very blessed that our paths crossed and that you and your organization are there to help us out of the goodness of your hearts! On behalf of my family and my self we are so greatfull and we thank you all so very much!!
The Mollineaux family
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys again for all of your help. Parting with furniture and belongings that had been in the family for so long was naturally very difficult for my father-in-law. Knowing it was going to help such a great cause made him very happy. The fact that you were willing to pick everything up was amazing! And knowing you could find a use for such a wide range of items made the decision process much easier for him. You made a difficult time for him much easier and quicker, which I appreciate very much.
In addition, words cannot express my gratitude on your finding my bracelet and returning it to me. I honestly did not know if it was with the stuff you picked up , and was wonderfully surprised at your call. The fact that you chose to return it to me, when you have easily used it to help fund your cause shows what amazing people you are. That bracelet means the world to me and your help is so appreciated.
I wish you luck with all of your endeavors and look forward to helping you in any way I can.
I just want to thank you for your help in our time of need. Me and my mother don’t know how we would have survived without your financial help and moral support. You truly are a godsend for people in dire need. I wish there were more people like you to help others. Words cannot express my thanks for your help and support. I hope other people can benefit from LiFEC. God bless you and your staff.
Thank you so much,
Jane and Rob H.
Hi my name is Jo-Anne, the daughter of a mom who’s 84 years old on a fixed income. She supports my sister who’s mentally challenged with $15.00 in her bank account until the 1st of the month. This will help a great deal. I’m raising a family myself and would like to pass this blessing on to her. Recently she also fell and fractured her thumb in two places so this will help some. She cant drive to stores like she used to be able to in the past.
To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted to take a second to thank you so very much for donating myself a shower bench. I have been needing one for awhile however they can be pricey and I’m a mom of three kids and my husband stays home to take care of the kids and me. Since moving to our new home, bathing is very difficult because our bathroom is very small but this will make life so much easier for us. I sincerely appreciate people like you who have it in their hearts to help those who really need it.
We would like to say thank you for donating a shower chair and a commode to help out our grandma. May God bless you.
This will be very much needed. My mom who is in her late 60’s had dealt with many health issues and is now having a hard time walking and standing. So this walker will make her able to get around and feel better. We are so grateful.
Dear Trading Post friends,
Thank you so much for the table and chairs and comfy chair.
That was so nice and greatly appreciated. I had very little money and needed it bad.
Thank you a million times.
If I can ever do any thing for you let me know.
I'm happy to help.
I am having my second bone fusion surgery on my foot soon. This wheelchair will be of great help to me and my family as I cannot afford one. I will definitely pay it forward when I am done with it. God Bless and happy and healthy new year to you and your family.
LONG ISLAND FAMILY & ELDER CARE - ON 4/13/16 I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A PROCEDURE AND NEEDED TRANSPORTATION AND SOMEONE TO GET ME HOME. WHEN I CALLED LAURA SHE SAID NO PROBLEM THEY WOULD DO IT AND SHE ASSURED ME THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE AVAILABLE. AT 9;30 AM ON THE DOT BOBBY SHOWED UP AND GOT ME TO THE HOSPITAL ON TIME. LAURA AND THE HOSPITAL MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR WHEN I WAS READY TO LEAVE. BOBBY WAS WAITING FOR ME. ON THE WAY HOME BOBBY MADE SURE I WAS COMFORTABLE - ASKED IF I NEEDED GROCERIES OR IF I WANTED HIM TO PICK UP LUNCH FOR ME. I OFFERED BOBBY GAS MONEY TWICE AND BOTH TIMES HE REFUSED - ALL HE ASKED FOR WAS A HUG. I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT THAT DAY BECAUSE I ONLY MET LAURA ONCE BEFORE BUT I COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN BETTER TREATMENT. BOBBY AND LAURA WERE GREAT!!!!! THANKS AGAIN. JOSEPHINE (BELLMORE)
I am writing to thank you for your help recently. My dear friends Pat and Lou S. reached out to you to get a transport chair for mom.
I am currently mired in trying to get thru Medicare - and it's going on 3 weeks now.
I happened to mention to pat on the phone one day and the next thing I knew she had one for me.
It's perfect and has already been such a help in terms of getting mom around.
Please accept my small donation as a way of saying 'thank you' and I am going to keep you guys in mind for any other donations I can make. It's wonderful to know that an organization like yours exists and I hope to stop by soon to deliver some stuff and also understand what other resources your organization offers.
Thank you again and hope to stop by soon.
I want to express my thanks to you, diapers and bathing chair you gave me for my grandfather has been very helpful for us. God bless the generous hearts who share with us.
Thank you so much for the donated diapers I was given for my 92 year old mother. It was a great blessing and so much appreciated!
On behalf of the Baskerville family we would like to thank you for the blue pads and the wheel chair. This is greatly going to help my parents who are elderly and in need of the items. Please feel free to call them if you would like. Their names are Constance and Warner Baskerville. Telephone 631-779-2652. It's unfortunate after ageing that certain medical supplies are not made easy to obtain and the insurance won't cover particular items that are needed. You are providing a great service to those in need, we really appreciate your help. I can be reached at XXX-XXXX
Today, March 25th, 2016, I followed up on an ad on Craigslist for a personal hygiene product for my Mom. They gave me a very generous amount of the needed product and asked nothing in return! I'd spoken with 'Laura' on the phone mid-morning and went in person to the LI Trading Post just after noontime. Unfortunately I did not meet Laura, but was greeted and helped by her brother Bob. These are truly generous people and an honest pleasure to meet. I plan to visit the shop next week and do some shopping myself. My own finances will probably not allow me to give an outright monetary donation, but I'd certainly donate what I can in usable goods, and bring my mother in to shop and meet these nice people.
To whom it may concern:
I would like to thank Laura for all of these medical supplies that are beneficial for many elderly people. Personally I have a 90 year old grandfather that needs a lot of personal assistance. Therefore one of the items that we were missing at home was a shower chair since he tends to get tired while taking a shower. i also have some friends who are very ill and in need of a walker since she doesn't have any insurance to cover this. I would like to thank for the kindness of the heart of those who have made these donations for those in need.
Thank you for your donation of 2 rollator walkers to our day programs. They will be used toward assisting several of our people that we serve in safely negotiating the community.
Dear Tom Tuzzolo,
I wanted to take the time to thank you for the packages of free men’s
depends and bed pads.
My dad is 80 years old and has several health challenges. I delivered
these items to my mother and she was so thankful because she’s been
doing lots of unexpected laundry due to his problems in that area. It
also helped them financially, as purchasing these items so regularly can
become a burdon.
Thank you again for your generosity.
This is to express my gratitude for the adult briefs you provided for my elderly mother. It continues to be a struggle for seniors to have access to the things that are needed. Your service and generosity is greatly appreciated. Once again thank you
Thank you for the walker Laura, it is for my mom, she just had surgery. (knee) It's a big help for us. God bless
To whom it may concern: I'd like to take this opportunity to thank your organization for the precious items you gave me. May God bless you and all who are operating under this umbrella - helping people in need. Special thanks to Ms. Laura for communicating with me and working with my schedule. Sincerely Karyn W
To the great people at LiFEC,
I feel that thank you is no enough to express my gratitude. Thank you are the only word I know to say. I had surgery on my left foot Friday morning. I have been falling and gotten hurt repeatedly. I have not been able to get around safely, even getting into the restroom has resulted in injury. Having MS it sometimes proves challenging enough to keep my balance when my feet were fully operational. Since the surgery I was falling so much, my 11 year old son was jumpy at any sound, concern it was me falling yet again.
Your blessed me with a wheelchair and walker, I am now able to Ambulate safely, no more bruising, no more falling, no more getting hurt. My son says, I'm so glad I don't have to worry about you falling anymore.
So you see, there are no words to express the greatness you have done for me and my son. You ensured I don't get hurt anymore, which allows me to care for my son. That is a big deal because I am a single mom.
From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you for helping me.
I would like to thank Tom so very much- i was in need of a walker and shower chair for my 93 year old dad- he was SO helpful in helping make sure i got what i needed. I never knew this organization existed, but now will be sure to help them whenever I can!
Just wanted to send a thank you note to your organization. Laura was fantastic in helping us to secure a transport wheel chair for a home care client with dementia who was in desperate need of one! Thank you LiFEC!
Thank you for your very kind donation of walker, which I received today. Your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of MARIA, LICA, STANCA to name a few that will benefit from the walker. You are making a difference! Thank again for your kindness. Sincerely,
My mother would like to thank you for the cane. I'm sure she will get some good use out of it.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you and your organization for giving me a pair of crutches, while my son visited for Thanksgiving. Since he was only in town for a week, it was nice not to have to buy them. Although, i offered you money you would not take any from me. I would like to return the crutches to you now, in the hope that someone else can use them. Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated. It is nice to have a community organization willing to help others. Keep up the good work!

I am writing this letter as a testimonial to the wonderful service offered by Long Island Trading Post. Recently, my mother became ill and was hospitalized for 5 days. When she returned home after having been ill for over 2 months she was extremely week and unable to care for herself. Mt father became her full time nurse. He took over walking her from bed to chair to bathroom and back to bed again. My mother has been unable to stand unsupported for more than just a few seconds at a time. I found my father had placed a metal folding chair in the bathtub so that my mother would be able to shower and feel a little better. Obviously this was less than ideal. My father had to stay in the bathroom while she showered to make sure the folding chair remained in place. A visiting nurse came to the home and I asked about a shower chair but was told that this could only be ordered through occupational therapy, they would not be able to order one for her. I remembered having seen a post on close 5 offering medical equipment to those in need so i searched it and contacted Laura. When I explained the situation she told me to come to Long Island Trading Post and to pick up the much needed shower chair free of charge. She explained that their goal was to keep senior citizens in their home for as long as possible. What an amazing service! I cannot thank this organization enough or emphasize the significance of what they are doing.
With sincere appreciation,
To The Trading Post,
Thank you so much for helping with the briefs for my 88 year old mother. My hubby's mother-in-law. Times are tough. It's nice to know others help. She is terminally ill. Rest assured someday we will donate back. Sincerely with love-
